ORGANIZING BODY

Established in 1971, ChongGeneHangCollege is a Catholic, government-subsidized grammar school. Like its brother schools: La SalleCollege and St. Joseph’s College, it was founded by De La Salle Brothers. The De Salle Family is a Catholic body, whose main aim is to provide education. The Family has primary and secondary schools, polytechnics and universities in about ninety countries in the world. Our school is named after an American-Chinese philanthropic couple, Chong Gene Hang and his wife.

SCHOOL VISION

Based on our Christian belief and the LaSallian Spirit ‘Faith and Zeal’ rendered to us by our forefather St. John Baptist De La Salle, our vision is to provide a human and Christian education. With the motto ‘Labore et Virtute’, we intend to cultivate in our campus an ambience of sincerity, openness and enthusiasm; instill in students a sense of loyalty and integrity and promote development of the five virtues and individual potential so that our students will be able to strive for the best in their pursuit of work and studies, serve the community and create a world of peace and justice.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Set up in 1992, the Parent Teacher Association is to promote communication between parents and school. Through various activities, such as the annual Barbecue night and the Parents-Children Reading Scheme, parents are kept informed of their children’s performance in school, both in academic studies and conduct.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
